Retranscription des paroles de la vidéo: right so every act in in Islam should bring you closer to Allah subhana wa tala definitely so here we put actually the meaning behind circumcision mhm right and here we see how Allah subhanana wa ta’ala prevents us from that particular act yes of of masturbation and you know what I mean because if you look also at the at the our anatomy how we how Allah subhanaa designed us really and um that that we can you know um find practices or ways how we can apply this dean mhm mhm and it’s and it’s simple it’s not a it’s not a difficult thing it’s not a difficult thing so I would love to hear from the listeners um their experiences and their understanding of of of the sunat or the circumcision yes right um you get your messages through to me via WhatsApp 078610 1112 we’d love to hear from you i’ve got a question that has come through here from one of our listeners saying is it haram to do it at 1 month old now we are not in the position to say whether something is haram or halal what Allah has declared as Allah has decreed um perhaps sister we we did speak about you know 7 days old versus seven years and essentially it’s just um you know the understanding behind it whether or not the child understands that you know you see also if if it’s done um when the baby is when the baby we need when the baby’s young when the baby is young the mother needs to wash that part of the body sister and then she has to pull back the skin to wash it like you know what I mean when it’s done at that particular age also it also doesn’t um really make it necessary for the mother to to pull back the skin all the time you know what I mean it’s easier to clean right that you can understand but I feel there is a deeper meaning I feel when it was done in I think here in Cape Town it was done also um at the age of seven or eight because now there’s a more a consciousness to it yes you understand what I mean because now it’s more clinical yes you know what I mean and that’s all it is it’s all Yeah you see we don’t know but it’s not mentioned in the Quran but yet breastfeeding is mentioned six times in the Quran and we don’t want to breastfeed our children but we rush to do that particular job yes right but also the baby is also depending also on the baby’s health yes sister Kra m and also the person who does it who performs it must be surgically and religiously be also be knowledgeable yeah i mean if things go wrong it’s you know it’s a scar that that a child is left with for life now sister mahubo we’re speaking about we know we speak about circumcision and often times you know the this topic is directed towards our male counterparts but there is I do want to you know bring in a topic that I feel doesn’t us doesn’t get spoken about enough and that is the concept of circumcision from a woman’s perspective you know it’s it’s it’s not circumcision it’s referred to as female genital mutilation mutilation yeah you see the practice in Africa that has really been condemned as the cadra because in the manner it is donera because we know that the male organ and the female um the female clitoris it has you know very it’s it has thousands of nerve endings right and um and the reason why we circumcise our boys is actually to to minimize that sensation yes right because if I can just tell the listeners the the the male organ has about 6,000 nerve endings and the female organ the clitoris actually has about 12 of those thousand lings so you you you see now really how sensitive those particular parts of our bodies but there’s a reason for that there’s a reason why the female has more Yes um nerve endings and I think the listeners can do that particular research as well yes right but again how amazingly Allah subhana wa ta’ala has created us for us to actually enjoy those kind of the intimacy between husband and wife mhm within the context within the context of marriage right now imagine we we teach our youth before they enter into marriage you know with this you know with this partic they enter into marriage with this particular knowledge you know and last week we spoke about the oxytocin that needs to be released when we are intimate and how that it’s a very shy hormone that needs to be released and also if you look at also how the the male and the female differs even the the the skin of the female is much more sensitive than the male and how we respond to touch yes women we we we we respond to touch we respond to kind words right so coming back to the female m the female um genital mutation genital mutilation the way it’s done up in Africa is really not commendable mhm i think it’s it’s a very cruel practice but in some in some communities it is done with just the clipping of the of the clitoris but really removing the whole clitoris mhm right it’s just cutting the nerve ending and I think it it’s also a a practice that is somewhat born of ignorance because as far as anatomy you know as far as anatomy goes it’s the setup is very different yes you know there isn’t there isn’t that um risk if if I can call it that that risk of over stimulation in a woman as it would be in a male you know and so so so it’s obviously a practice that is not not it’s not encouraged it’s a practice that is not advised at all because the damage is might it’s physical but it’s also psychological absolutely in the long term and it it has um serious repercussions on that woman’s confidence within herself but also on her ability to reproduce absolutely lots of repercussions and and um I think there is a move now also in Africa now to stop that because um women also in Africa now because it’s been such a tradition for so many years that if it’s not being done you know what I mean you are being ostracized from the community m so but slowly and surely there is like but I I think what people need to do is to do the necessary research and look at the reason why these these the female circumcision was necessary at the time why people felt it was necessary people felt it was necessary right because um I mean if you look at how amazingly our bodies have been designed yeah mhm and um I mean when you know when I do talk about these kind of things as the it’s it’s just to think how Allah subhana wa tala has created us to for um for um the to ensure that that the continuation of civilization right that that is necessary for us to procreate within the framework of marriage mhm right so so there’s there’s a reason behind everything and I think for the listeners now that we’re talking on this particular topic there’s a reason behind and Allah subhana wa ta’ala is most gracious and most merciful mhm and we experience that mercy and we experience experience that that um um Allah’s love for us by following and obeying his commands definitely definitely now sister Mahuba I know that the topic of of circumcision is you know within the Islamic framework it is a practice that is recommended highly recommended for you know the boy child obviously um not not not for not for women and not for the female child but um the the concept of of masturbation you know and the proposal is you know to teach boys and girls about about you know um the self-gratification in In a sense you know we’ve covered the link of circumcision and masturbation to with within the for boys essentially but how would how do we approach the topic of masturbation with our girl children you know it’s important that we do discuss that also with our girl children you know because um oh sorry yeah we we do discuss with our girl children as well the because it’s out there the word is out there the concept is out there so should my child come home you know would say and this is what was discussed in school today I must be able to say but what was discussed let let me see what the Quran is saying let me see what Allah is saying about this you know and because like we earlier said that you as the parent are the authority on this whole this this whole concept and and and discussing it with our children it is important because um it’s all being promoted now in society this new age morality it’s promoted within society Yeah and and for children now or youth to out to be able to make those informed choices is so necessary mhm right definitely definitely but it’s a it’s I think it’s also a beautiful time where we can actually give them the meaning behind it we can give them the reason behind it we can give them the scientific proof mhm and I think Sister Mafuba in in in in our wrapping up you know I’ve had two messages that have come through that said they missed the first part of the show and in the first part of the show you in the first part of this particular conversation you stated you know that yes masturbation is haram allah makes that it’s it’s there’s it’s categorically clear that it is haram why because that is what that is that’s the answer that we give it is because it’s psychologically and emotionally harmful to the human being and Allah subhanana wa tala did not create us to for self-pleasure mhm allah subhana wa ta’ala created us to give each other pleasure in the framework of marriage so that is the reason Islam is even against celibacy yes you understand what I mean so what the world is actually teaching us today is about the me myself and I that we the individual that we are important that you yourself are the only importance that you don’t have an impact on the other yeah so so these kind of concepts will be um um I would say um advertised and marketed so that you yourself being seen as an individual yeah and master of of yourself which is totally against Islam but it also it has serious repercussions because you you you this concept of individualism is promoted at a level where it’s to do with self and your self-pleasure and your self-gratification but that has you know it has ramifications in in in the broader context because you are an individual within yourself taking care of all of your own needs and so when it comes to when you are required to play your role into society you can’t overcome your individualism in order to play your role in society and we all know the importance that Islam promotes on being a community and having a sense of community absolutely and also sister what it does actually um it it actually um why it’s psychologically harmful because it produces a guilty conscience right it it destroys normal confidence right and it will have an impact on that person’s married life yes um we’ve gotten a message from Dr shabir oh that sends through asalam alalaykum it is narrated from imi that children should be circumcised as it makes the body cleaner makes the meat of the body grow faster and the earth has an aversion to the urine of an uncircumcised person with regards to the circumcision of boys it is obligatory on boys and as with the shaving and it is recommended that it be done on the seventh day after the birth of the child although if done earlier there is no harm okay done earlier so there’s a hadith coming from the from the listeners yeah so you see it all has meaning behind it mhm you know the practice has meaning yes but it’s important also that we also tell our children mhm you know why speak to them when they’re older when when they’re at the age of understanding why it was performed on upon why it’s necessary why it’s a sunnah on the boy child definitely yeah shukran for the for the contribution right sister we’ve uh we’ve run out of time You give her [Music] [Music] .

0.16 that part of the body sister and then
0.16 she has to pull back the skin to wash it
0.16 like you know what I mean when it&;s done
0.16 at that particular age also it also
0.16 doesn&;t um
0.16 really make it necessary for the mother
0.16 to to pull back the skin all the time
0.16 you know what I mean it&;s easier to
0.16 clean right that you can understand but
0.16 I feel there is a deeper meaning I feel
0.16 when it was done in I think here in Cape
0.16 Town it was done also um at the age of

0.16 more a consciousness to it yes you
0.16 understand what I mean because now it&;s

0.16 you know what I mean and that&;s all it
0.16 is it&;s all Yeah you see we don&;t know

0.16 yet breastfeeding is mentioned six times
0.16 in the Quran and we don&;t want to
0.16 breastfeed our children but we rush to
0.16 do that particular job yes right but
0.16 also the baby is also depending also on
0.16 the baby&;s health yes sister Kra m and
0.16 also the person who does it who performs
0.16 it must be surgically and religiously be
0.16 also be knowledgeable yeah i mean if
0.16 things go wrong it&;s you know it&;s a
0.16 scar that that a child is left with for
0.16 life now sister mahubo we&;re speaking
0.16 about we know we speak about
0.16 circumcision and often times you know
0.16 the this topic is directed towards our
0.16 male counterparts but there is I do want
0.16 to you know bring in a topic that I feel
0.16 doesn&;t us doesn&;t get spoken about
0.16 enough and that is the concept of
0.16 circumcision from a woman&;s perspective
0.16 you know it&;s it&;s it&;s not circumcision
0.16 it&;s referred to as female genital
0.16 mutilation mutilation yeah you see the
0.16 practice in Africa that has really been
0.16 condemned as the cadra because in the

0.16 really how sensitive those particular

0.16 for that
0.16 there&;s a reason why the female has more
0.16 Yes um nerve endings and I think the
0.16 listeners can do that particular
0.16 research as well yes right but again how
0.16 amazingly Allah subhana wa ta&;ala has
0.16 created us for us to actually enjoy

0.16 imagine we we teach our youth before

0.16 this you know with this partic they
0.16 enter into marriage with this particular
0.16 knowledge you know and last week we

0.16 be released when we are intimate and how
0.16 that it&;s a very shy hormone that needs

0.16 also how the the male and the female
0.16 differs even the the the skin of the
0.16 female is much more sensitive than the
0.16 male and how we respond to touch yes
0.16 women we we we we respond to touch we
0.16 respond to kind words right so coming
0.16 back to the female m the female um
0.16 genital mutation genital mutilation the
0.16 way it&;s done up in Africa is really not

0.16 these the female circumcision was
0.16 necessary at the time
0.16 why people felt it was necessary people
0.16 felt it was necessary right because um I
0.16 mean if you look at how amazingly our
0.16 bodies have been designed yeah mhm and
0.16 um I mean when you know when I do talk
0.16 about these kind of things as the it&;s
0.16 it&;s just to think how Allah subhana wa
0.16 tala has created us to for um for
0.16 um the to ensure that that the
0.16 continuation of civilization
0.16 right that that is necessary for us to

0.16 marriage mhm right so so there&;s there&;s
0.16 a reason behind everything and I think
0.16 for the listeners now that we&;re talking
0.16 on this particular topic there&;s a
0.16 reason behind and Allah subhana wa
0.16 ta&;ala is most gracious and most
0.16 merciful mhm and we experience that
0.16 mercy and we experience experience that
0.16 that um um Allah&;s love for us by
0.16 following and obeying his commands
0.16 definitely definitely now sister Mahuba
0.16 I know that the topic of of circumcision
0.16 is you know within the Islamic framework
0.16 it is a practice that is recommended
0.16 highly recommended for you know the boy
0.16 child obviously um not not not for not
0.16 for women and not for the female child
0.16 but um the the concept of of
0.16 masturbation you know and the proposal
0.16 is you know to teach boys and girls
0.16 about about you know um the
0.16 self-gratification in In a sense you
0.16 know we&;ve covered the link of
0.16 circumcision and masturbation to with
0.16 within the for boys essentially but how
0.16 would how do we approach the topic of
0.16 masturbation with our girl children you
0.16 know it&;s important that we do discuss
0.16 that also with our girl children you
0.16 know because um oh sorry yeah we we do
0.16 discuss with our girl children as well
0.16 the because it&;s out there the word is
0.16 out there the concept is out there so
0.16 should my child come home you know would
0.16 say and this is what was discussed in
0.16 school today I must be able to say but
0.16 what was discussed let let me see what
0.16 the Quran is saying let me see what
0.16 Allah is saying about this you know and
0.16 because like we earlier said that you as
0.16 the parent are the authority on this
0.16 whole this this whole concept and and
0.16 and discussing it with our children it
0.16 is important because um it&;s all being
0.16 promoted now in society this new age
0.16 morality it&;s promoted within society
0.16 Yeah and and for children now or youth
0.16 to out to be able to make those informed
0.16 choices is so necessary mhm right
0.16 definitely definitely but it&;s a it&;s I
0.16 think it&;s also a beautiful time where
0.16 we can actually give them the meaning
0.16 behind it we can give them the reason
0.16 behind it we can give them the
0.16 scientific proof mhm and I think Sister
0.16 Mafuba in in in in our wrapping up you
0.16 know I&;ve had two messages that have
0.16 come through that said they missed the
0.16 first part of the show and in the first
0.16 part of the show you in the first part
0.16 of this particular conversation you
0.16 stated you know that yes masturbation is
0.16 haram allah makes that it&;s it&;s there&;s
0.16 it&;s categorically clear that it is
0.16 haram why
0.16 because that is what that is that&;s the
0.16 answer that we give it is because it&;s
0.16 psychologically and emotionally harmful
0.16 to the human being and Allah subhanana
0.16 wa tala did not create us to for
0.16 self-pleasure mhm allah subhana wa
0.16 ta&;ala created us to give each other
0.16 pleasure in the framework of marriage so
0.16 that is the reason Islam is even against
0.16 celibacy yes you understand what I mean
0.16 so what the world is actually teaching
0.16 us today is about the me myself and I
0.16 that we the individual that we are
0.16 important that you yourself are the only
0.16 importance that you don&;t have an impact
0.16 on the other yeah so so these kind of
0.16 concepts will be um
0.16 um I would say um advertised and
0.16 marketed so that you yourself being seen
0.16 as an individual yeah and master of of
0.16 yourself which is totally against Islam
0.16 but it also it has serious repercussions
0.16 because you you you this concept of
0.16 individualism is promoted at a level
0.16 where it&;s to do with self and your
0.16 self-pleasure and your
0.16 self-gratification but that has you know
0.16 it has ramifications in in in the
0.16 broader context because you are an
0.16 individual within yourself taking care
0.16 of all of your own needs and so when it
0.16 comes to when you are required to play
0.16 your role into society you can&;t
0.16 overcome your individualism in order to
0.16 play your role in society and we all
0.16 know the importance that Islam promotes
0.16 on being a community and having a sense
0.16 of community absolutely and also sister
0.16 what it does actually um it it actually
0.16 um why it&;s psychologically harmful
0.16 because it produces a guilty conscience
0.16 right it it destroys normal confidence
0.16 right and it will have an impact on that
0.16 person&;s married life yes um we&;ve
0.16 gotten a message from Dr shabir oh that
0.16 sends through asalam alalaykum it is
0.16 narrated from imi that children should
0.16 be circumcised as it makes the body
0.16 cleaner makes the meat of the body grow
0.16 faster and the earth has an aversion to
0.16 the urine of an uncircumcised person
0.16 with regards to the circumcision of boys
0.16 it is obligatory on boys and as with the
0.16 shaving and it is recommended that it be
0.16 done on the seventh day after the birth
0.16 of the child although if done earlier
0.16 there is no harm okay done earlier so
0.16 there&;s a hadith coming from the from
0.16 the listeners yeah so you see it all has
0.16 meaning behind it mhm you know the
0.16 practice has meaning yes but it&;s
0.16 important also that we also tell our
0.16 children mhm you know why speak to them
0.16 when they&;re older when when they&;re at
0.16 the age of understanding why it was
0.16 performed on upon why it&;s necessary why
0.16 it&;s a sunnah on the boy child
0.16 definitely yeah shukran for the for the
0.16 contribution right sister we&;ve uh we&;ve
0.16 run out of time You give her
