this how damaging it is it really comes down to how bad do you want it you have everything to gain and nothing to lose it really comes down to how bad do you want to stop in realizing this that last think of an open field with a bunch of grass versus a pathway it’s going to be very easy to walk on the pathway because the path is already made think of that as your good habits and your bad habits good habits are easy to do every day because the path is already made your neural pathway in your brain the neuroplasticity the more you do something the easier it becomes the less you do something the harder it becomes because the grass grows back on the path it’s the same with bad habits when you relapse every time you relapse it becomes even easier to relapse but every time you say no to that path you say no I’m not going to give in this time the grass starts to grow back and it becomes easier so think of it every time you say no it gets easier and once you realize that just keep saying no no and realizing every time you say right your first no is the hardest because as you keep saying no the grass goes back on the pathway and it becomes easy easier to say no to that pathway and you got to replace it with a good habit and now it’s going to be hard at first because there’s a bunch of graph the past the pathway isn’t made there’s a bunch of resistance but the more you walk on the path then the grass stops growing and it’s easier to keep doing it so when you’re starting a new habit the hardest part is the beginning it only gets easier and when you’re stopping a bad habit the hardest join a club learn editing on YouTube down DaVinci Resolve and start editing YouTube videos start working on your school start watching YouTube videos do not be bored make yourself tired and do not lay in your bed laying your in your on your bed with your phone is is danger zone that’s Red Zone that’s at the point where you need to be like no I’m about to relapse you need to go in the shower and take a cold shower right away when your brain starts to associate cold shower with lustful thoughts guess what your brain won’t do that because your brain is just bored and it’s like oh we need dopamine and so it makes you oh my phone gives me dopamine and the other thing delete Instagram delete tick tock delete Twitter you don’t need this stuff to survive again how bad do you want to stop if you really want to stop you don’t need Instagram you don’t need tick tock all of these things whatever it is Reddit whatever they are causing you to lust so just delete them off your phone you don’t need them block the websites that you keep relapsing on make it difficult every like barrier you put to make it more difficult to relapse is gonna your brain’s gonna be like dang I give up you know it’s he’s working against me so work against your brain understanding that your brain just wants the easiest path to the most amount of dopamine which is how you get addicted you have to work against your brain and create more resistance so remember that it is a ritual you do a certain set of activities before you relapse so get rid of the things that you were doing before a lot of it is out of boredom don’t be bored you have no excuse and not be bored find something go for a run you can stop if you want and think about when and where your relapse and maybe it’s every night before you go to bed guess what take the door off your room you’ve got to be a crazy man to still do it if you have no dorm and your families or maybe it’s when your parents are gone and that’s when you relapse well if your parents are gone maybe you should go for a run maybe you should go to a friend’s house you know avoid the situations that are leading you into the sin again you need to see what is happening before remember that there are things that lead up to the sin and get rid of those things need more reasons to do it because it will make you happier and think clearer and be more confident do good for Christ because these sins can’t send you to hell and the point of the Orthodox Christian is to build our willpower this is why we fast through so many days throughout the year and on Wednesdays and Fridays no mean no animal products no oil we don’t have to give these but we do give them up to show that we have willpower I can put a zipper on my mouth it’s the same with that of purposely promote promiscuous content and then you lay in bed and then it causes you to sin so what was the problem in the first place you know go back go to the foundation of what caused you to do it
